    I think Dr. McCoy is a special case since he almost never used his profession as an appeal to authority... more of the opposite, really. He was usually saying "This isn't my field; why are you asking me about this?"

  7. Right! I was going back and forth on that... and while most people know about the "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an XXX" thing, he really does have a tendency to BS on occasion.
